In this lesson, we will explore the following questions: What is our beliefs regarding the Bible? Is it truly God’s Word? Is it trustworthy and reliable? Why is it important for you to believe the Bible?
The central figure of the Bible is Jesus. In this lesson we will look at the claims the Bible makes about Him, the claims He make about Himself and the the significance of these claims.
The term "rapture" is used to refer to the time when Christians will be "raised up" from this earth to meet Jesus in the clouds. The purpose of this lesson is give you a Biblical understanding of this event.
The bible claims it is the Word of God. But what evidence do we have to prove the Bible is indeed God’s inspired Word?
There are both INTERNAL and EXTERNAL evidences that proves the Bible is truly God’s Word.
I. Internal Evidence:
The first internal evidence that the Bible is truly God’s Word is seen in the UNITY of the scriptures. Even though there are such a diverse group of writers, the entire bible reads as one showing it has one author. There is no contradictions on the subjects of who God is, what’s his plan for humanity, salvation and the future.
The second internal evidence is FULFILLED PROPHECY.
Read 2 Peter 1:20-21
ONE / THIRD of the bible is prophetic, meaning it accurately describes and predicts events that would happen in the future. This shows that only a supernatural being that is outside of space and time will be able to predict what will happen in the future.
There are 1,239 prophecies in the Old Testament, and 578 prophecies in the New Testament.
Approximately 2/3 of the prophecies have been fulfilled.
There is no other religious book like it.
The third internal evidence is its POWER and AUTHORITY.
Drug addicts have been delivered by it, homosexuals set free by it, hardened criminals reformed by it, sinners rebuked by it, and hate turned to love by it.
II. External Evidence:
The most compelling external evidence that the bible is the word of God are the SCIENTIFIC and HISTORIC accounts.NOTE: THE BIBLE IS NOT A SCIENCE BOOK BUT CONTAINS MANY SCIENTIFIC FACTS
Through both archaeological evidence and other writings, the historical accounts of the Bible have been proven time and time again to be accurate and true.
Example: John D. Rockefeller searched for and found oil in the Middle East after reading that bible (ref. Genesis 14:10).
There is also scientific evidence proving the Bible is the word of God.
Things that are being discovered today though science were written in the bible thousands of years before.

Our bodies are made from the dust of the ground (Genesis 2:7; 3:19). Scientists have discovered that the human body is comprised of some 28 base and trace elements – all of which are found in the earth.
