Evangelism Workshop by First Coast Outreach Ministry (FCOM)
Presented by Keith Pintar and David Siddall. The sermon began by emphasizing the importance of hearing God’s Word, which brings victory and strengthens the body of Christ. They shared teaching in Ephesians 4:12 about equipping the saints for ministry and recalled how evangelism should be a priority for all believers. Reminiscing about a conversation with Billy Graham, who inspired them to encourage more Christians to step outside their church bubbles and share the Gospel. The message was a call to action for the church.
They described their approach to evangelism utilizing scripture as the foundation for everything they did. He discussed sharing experiences and engaging with the congregation to hear about their outreach efforts. They planned to train attendees through interactive role-play, aiming to make them comfortable with initiating conversations and sharing their faith. They highlighted the importance of going everywhere to spread the good news, citing Matthew 28:19–20.
A continuation of the discussion on the importance of being prepared to evangelize. They shared personal experiences of divine appointments that God orchestrated, emphasizing the need to be watchful for opportunities to minister. Encouragement was given to the congregation to be bold and share their faith in both casual and more prepared settings. Scriptures such as 2 Timothy 4:2 were referenced to support the idea of always being ready to preach the Word.
The discussion shifted to practical applications of evangelism, emphasizing that not every encounter would yield immediate results. They reminded the congregation to follow up on seeds planted and maintain personal relationships with people they’ve talked to about their faith. More encouragement was given on sharing personal testimonies and using provided materials, such as tracks, to initiate discussions about Jesus. They reassured everyone that sharing their faith would bear fruit in God’s timing.
The final part of the sermon focused on the need to build relationships in the community. Keith and David prompted congregants to find practical ways to engage with unreached individuals. Discussions included planning community outreach events and emphasizing that everyone could be part of evangelism. They closed with a heartfelt prayer, reminding all attendees that they were called to reach out and share the love of Jesus with others, starting in their own neighborhoods.
